LOCAL FAMILY TAKES HOME GRAND PRIZE

CASSVILLE, MO - Les Jacobs Ford Mercury of Cassville hosted a three-day 10th Anniversay celebration June 28 through June 30th. The celebration highlighted the 10 years the Jacobs family has owned the dealership and included prize drawings, displays from local companies, radio remote broadcasting, vintage and antique cars, free lunch under the tent on Friday, plus a retirement party for longtime employee Paul Mattingly.

Nearly 400 people attended Friday's luncheon of burgers, hot dogs, drinks and sides. On display during the three day celebration were several vintage Mustangs, two 1957 T-birds from Springdale, Arkansas, a Model T, and two vintage Ford Fairlanes owned by Les Jacobs.

"We are going to miss Paul and his customers' already do," said Les Jacobs, President of Les Jacobs Ford Mercury. "Paul knew how to take care of customers and he did an excellent job as our salesman for trucks and haybeds. Paul was a wonderful employee and someone our customers trusted. Paul has volunteered to help us at rodeos and whenever we need someone to fill in."

Mattingly had worked at the dealership for 15 years and was a Cannonball Haybed specialist often working the farm shows with the owners of Cannonball. Paul, a cattle farmer also raises Border collies. Many of Paul's friends came by to share cake and memories.

Hundreds signed up to win prizes and the Les Jacobs Ford Mercury Grand Prize winners, Byron and Bobbie Tucker of Cassville, took home the 32" LCD HD Flat Screen TV. Wilma Hilburn of Cassville won a Detail/Clean-up from the dealership and there were three winners of Free Oil Changes: Rodney Mattingly of Exeter, Jerry Smith and Kathy Henderson of Cassville. Four winners received free car washes given away by Mike Schlichtman, owner of the Baywash Car Wash: Robert Horton of Rocky Comfort, Max L. Cornell and Ray Thomas of Cassville, and Mick Epperly of Shell Knob.

Local companies with products on display included: Vollenweider Metal Works with grill guards, hitches, cannonball beds and other accessories, Lowe's Auto Glass, Barry Electric and a horse trailer owned by Jerry and Linda Vaughn. Radio broadcasting on Friday was provided by Talon broadcasting from Monett

LES JACOBS FORD ANNOUNCES NEW SALESPERSON
AT SHELL KNOB LOCATION

Cassville, MO — Darrin Jacobs, General Manager of Les Jacobs Ford, is pleased to announce the appointment of Krystal Abramovitz as the new sales representative for their Shell Knob location. Abramovitz has been in charge of customer service at the facility for the past seven years.

“I have been in the Shell Knob area for 23 years,” says Krystal, “and invite everyone in our area to come shop Les Jacobs Ford. At Les Jacobs Ford we are all about satisfying the customer, whether that be in the vehicle you are buying, or in our service after the sale. Shell Knob is a wonderful community and there is not much more fun than being a volunteer at the “Shakin’ in the Shell” festival.” Krystal, who currently serves on the Board of Table Rock Federal Credit Union, is the daughter of Roger and Bev Pinnell, long -time residents of Shell Knob.

Les Jacobs Ford is a sponsor for the Shell Knob Fireworks on the Fourth of July, aided the Alliance of Churches for the Back to School program this year, and sponsors the award plaques for the Shakin’ in the Shell Car Show. Krystal and her husband Tom reside in Monett, Missouri.

AREA RESIDENTS SHARE IN ANNIVERSARY CASH FROM LJ FORD!

CASSVILLE, MO — LES JACOBS FORD celebrated their 7th Anniversary in Cassville with lunch on Friday and Saturday and cash, groceries and gasoline giveaways.

“Thank you from all of us at LJ FORD,” said owner Les Jacobs. “We've met a lot of good people and have taken care of their transportation needs over the last seven years. We appreciate all of you who stopped by to enter and who enjoyed lunch on us.”

The Celebration and Anniversary Cash Giveaway lasted three days — June 10th 11th 12th — and attracted people from all around the area. LJ Ford staff grilled hotdogs for customers on Friday and Saturday. Congratulations to winners of the Anniversary Cash Giveaway. Pat Asbury of Cassville won the First Prize of $300. Second Prize winner, Vic Merrit of Shell Knob took home $150; 3rd Prize winner, Steve Parrot of Shell Knob won $75; 4th Prize of $50 was won by Shirley Tichenor; 5th Prize of $25 was won by Jeanette Barber, Cassville, Mo.

Scooter Winners in the Octoberfest Celebration at Les Jacobs Ford/Mercury

Les Jacobs Ford/Mercury held their annual Octoberfest Celebration October 16th, 17th and 18th providing free lunch to customers on Friday and Saturday. The traditional fest is a showing of the 2004 Ford and Mercury vehicles and a thank you to customers. This year the dealership held a free Car Care Clinic on Saturday, held a grand prize drawing and sponsored a Coloring and Pumpkin Decorating Contest with three categories of winners: 2nd Grade and under, 3rd through 6th Grade, and 7th Grade through 12th. Winner of the Fisher Price Scooter was Ethan Doneker, a first grader at Exeter Schools. Hanna Clifton, a 4th grader at Washburn Schools, won the Razor Scooter, and Makensie Koehler, a seventh grader at Cassville Schools won the $50 Gift Certificate. Barbara Eirich of Cassville, MO was elated to win the grand prize drawing, a Zebra Scooter, from over 100 entries. Owner Les Jacobs’ response to the celebration, “The viewing of the 2004 models and the red tag sale is the perfect opportunity to say Thank You to our customers. The contests are fun and the smiles on the winners’ faces are priceless.”

WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN THE JOE MILLER “BEST OLD FORD CONTEST”

CASSVILLE, MO — Former Parts Manager for the Ford dealership in Cassville, Joe Miller, judged the antique Fords brought to the Les Jacobs Ford dealership on May 31. Miller announced the winners in the following categories: JOE MILLER AWARD went to a 1953 Mercury 2 door owned by Lee McNiel of Cassville who won a $50 gift certificate; the LES JACOBS AWARD, a $50 gift certificate, was won by Rick Morgan of Washburn for his 1956 Ford Convertible; Morgan also won Honorable Mention for his 1955 Ford 2 door. Winning a Ford Umbrella was owner of a 1957 Ford Convertible Barbara Eirich of Cassville and Leon Vaughn of Monett won a Ford Gear Tote for his 1956 Mercury 2 door. Winning Ford Racing Bags were RG Fisher of Cassville with his 1959 Edsel 4 door, Chuck Whitcomb of Cassville for his 1973 Ford Maverick 4 door, and Jack Smith of Bentonville, AR with his 1977 Ford F-150 4x4. Winners of Ford Dusters went to Herb and Cathy Primrose of Cassville with their 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, Jason Gaskill of Cassville with his 1967 Ford mustang FastBack, and to Danny Jones of Bentonville, AR with his 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I.

Les Jacobs Ford Dealership Processed Over 100 Kids In Ford’s
Commitment to Kids Program

Ford’s Commitment to Kids Program held on Saturday May 31 at Les Jacobs Ford Mercury dealership in Cassville processed 107 kids from the area. Laura Reavis and Teresa Davis, staff at LJFM, took digital photos of each child and compiled the child’s information for parents onto a hard disc. The information is strictly for the parents’ use and is not kept on file. LJFM Sales Staff spent hours blowing up balloons for the kids. “We are so pleased to be able to provide this very important program for parents of children in this community,” said Les Jacobs, owner of LES JACOBS FORD/MERCURY. “This is a great opportunity
for parents to be prepared with up-to-date information on their child or children.”

LJFM SERVICE TECH COMPLETES MASTER CERTIFICATION FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY

CASSVILLE, MO — Les Jacobs Ford is proud to announce that Mike Clifton completed his Master Certification for Automatic Transmission Specialty Training from Ford Motor Co. Clifton is now fully certified with the Ford Quality Care Masters Program. The Certification curriculum consists of engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering systems, electrical systems, climate control systems, manual transmission and drivetrain, automatic transmission, brake systems, diesel engine performance, and diesel engine repair. Clifton and wife, LeAnn, live in Washburn. Clifton has worked at the Les Jacobs Ford dealership for six years.
